The Operations, Intelligence, and Security Business Unit currently has multiple contingent openings for an Intelligence Analyst - Maritime Databases to support intelligence database and user support in Suitland, MD.
Job Description:
Provide analytic, operational, and administrative support for customer's databases and users. Support will be focused on but not limited to all of the national maritime intelligence databases and informational requirements in current use and/or under development for the customer's operational requirements. Job tasks include identification of innovative techniques regarding routine processes used to gather and analyze data; providing database support including data input, analysis, evaluation, maintenance and quality control; conducting user testing of functionality and evaluation of upgrades; conducting research using various sources and input to customer's systems; instituting a maritime database applications training schedule for users; attending development conferences as required; and providing technical advice.
Required Education/Skills:
- Must possess a TOP SECRET/SCI clearance
- 3 to 4 years IC experience as all-source analyst preferably with the maritime industry or military environment.
- Ability to review data and make sound analytic decisions.
- Associates degree preferred
- 3 to 4 years experience/capabilities as follows:
- proficiency with Global Command and Control Systems (GCCS) and Command and Control Personal Computer (C2PC)
- Familiarity with various databases such as Sea Watch, GALELite, WEBtas, Merchant Ship Characteristics DB, AMIDSHIPS, Small Ships DB, and Global Trader.
- MS Office products, especially Word and Power Point
- Excellent oral and written communications
- Database use conducting queries and photo editing software
- Excellent research and/or data collections experience
