SAIC’s Homeland and Civilian Solutions Business Unit currently has an opening for an IT Business Analyst. We specialize in providing a broad array of business and IT consulting services to US Federal Civilian Government agencies including DHS, HHS, Treasury, Interior, and others.
JOB DESCRIPTION: Position is part of a Project Management Office (PMO) organization designed to establish and implement project management best practices across the Federal customer organization. Position responsibilities also include analyzing existing business processes and defining and developing improved business processes, establishing policies, and defining organizational roles and responsibilities. Position also contributes to planning and implementing process improvement. Position is located at a Federal Agency customer site in Washington, DC.
Day-to-day responsibilities of the position include:
» Analyzing project management best practices and adapting them for consistent usage at customer site
» Analyzing existing business processes and defining improved business processes
» Establishing policies to support project management best practices
» Developing PowerPoint presentations to communicate PMO policies and procedures and to brief status to senior leadership
» Managing PMO content on SharePoint site
» Supporting enterprise-wide process working group by documenting action items, issues, and decisions
EDUCATION: Bachelors degree and 7+ years of experience or 11 years experience in lieu of degree.
REQUIRED SKILLS: Successful candidates should have the followings attributes, skills, experience, and certifications:
» Significant experience with project management and PMI methodology
» Experienced in business process analysis and design
» Flexible and able to adapt to changing priorities
» Excellent oral and written communication skills are a necessity
» Experience with organizational change is a plus
» PMP certification is a plus
» Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret clearance
